Just some thoughts to ponder from a great writer...

"Develop an interest in life as you see it; the people, things, literature, music - the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself."
Henry Miller

essembly.com

OK, I have been up too late sucked into this group that I received an email about tonight (oh, it's 2:30 in the morning - that was last night - good morning). An amazing site for discussing ideas, politics and connecting with others - some real potential here. Check it out, and let me know what you think.

The End of Suburbia

This is quite a film. I just watched The End of Suburbia: Oil Depletion and the Collapse of the American Dream (2004) over two (distracted) nights at a friends house, but the message was clear. And I feel like I finally "get" peak oil, I keep hearing blurbs about peak oil, but I never understood its impact, and how it will affect us long before we run out of oil, until I watched this film. It also had me invisioning the not-so-distant future where all these expensive suburban developments will be ghost towns. The film seems to think the implications will be much more severe than just very expensive ghost towns, but you'll just have to watch it and decide for yourself.

Are you ready for another Procession of the Species Video?

This is the third one posted here, all based on footage shot in 2004. My friend Tomas edited this version. Only two minutes long and much cleaner than the others, enjoy!
The Procession of the Species originated in Olympia Washington and has spread throughout the world. Go to http://www.procession.org/Elsewhere.php to find or start yours!

Think! Organic!

A friend and I have been working on video productions together for years. About three years ago he asked me to work on a project with him called Think Organic. It has had it's ups and downs, as has our professional relationship. But we, and the projects are back at full strength, and the website is beggining to come around too. Eight new videos, each only two minutes, have recently been posted, so check it out already!
